Pre-wedding questionnaire

Please use this form below to tell me as much about your day as you can. I realise that it might not be entirely relevant as every wedding is different but hopefully you can use it to let me know where people will be, and when, and what is happening! The more I know about the day in advance the better!

The idea is that I can have a comprehensive timeline so I can put together my own itinerary and ensure I am always in the right place at the right time and that your wedding photography coverage is totally awesome!

    What are your plans in the morning?

  • Where will you be getting ready and from what time?Please include postcodes and websites if applicable and also any necessary specific directions to find you if needed!

  • Who is in the bridal/groom party? (Person 1)Names please, and could you give the mobile number of at least one of them.

  • Do you have any hair/makeup/anything else booked in?

  • What time are you leaving to the service? How are you getting there?

  • Anything else I might need to know about the morning?

  • Groom/Bride Morning Prep (Person 2)

  • Where will you be getting ready and from what time?Please include postcodes and websites if applicable and also any necessary specific directions to find you if needed!

  • Who is in the groom/bridal party (Person 2)Names please, and could you give the mobile number of at least one of them

  • Do you have any hair/makeup/anything else booked in?

  • Do you have anything planned on the morning?

  • What time are you leaving to the service? how are you getting there?

  • Anything else I might need to know?

  • The Marriage Ceremony

  • Address and location of the ceremony (please include postcodes and websites if applicable)

  • What time does it start? are there any readings or other things going on during the service?

  • Any restrictions/problems/anything else I need to know about?

  • The Reception

  • Reception address (please include postcodes and websites if applicable)

  • What are the transport plans for getting there?

  • What are the plans/timings for the reception? What time are things happening - canapés, eating, speeches etc?

  • How many guests are attending?

  • Will you be providing a meal?The only time I really stop working during the day is when you sit down to eat. Will you be providing a meal for me (and my 2nd photographer/videographer if applicable) at this point, or do I need to sort something out?

  • Do you have any specific events or surprises planned that I might ned to know about in advance (eg. cake cutting, first dance etc)

  • What are the plans for then entertainment? And when is the curfew?

  • Photos

  • Group photo list:Please list any specific group photo lists you want here. Obviously it is your day, and I will do my best to get all the photos you want, but keep in mind that even with the best ushering in the world it can still take 4-5 minutes to find and arrange a group of people for a photo - so try keep the numbers of shots small - no more than 5 or 6 is ideal.

  • Designated photo helper:It's often super helpful if you can nominate an usher/friend/bridesmaid etc (or 2!) to help arrange and corral the people for the above photos and to help keep things as smooth and quick as possible on the day. Ideally someone in the bride/grooms party who knows most of the key people and someone happy o shout and organise people! Often I'll reach out to them before the wedding to say hello and make sure they've got a copy of a list of the images we need. If you could list the ideal candidate here and also their email/phone numbers - that would be great!

  • Other Photos and info:Anything else I might need to know - photos you specifically want? Portrait locations you would like to use? Family politics I might need to be aware of!? Anything at all...

  • Suppliers information

    It is really helpful to find as much out about your suppliers as I can. Please fill in any relevant boxes and leave the ones out that don't apply to you.

  • Bride/Grooms OutfitsPlease include designers, shoe makers, head dresses and anything else relevant.

  • Bridesmaid/Grooms men outfits
